WHAT WE BELIEVE
Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God and it is the foundation of our preaching and practice. In these days of stress and uncertainty we believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is just the good news our society needs to hear.
Believer’s Baptism
We practise baptism by full immersion in water for anyone who has a personal faith in Jesus and obediently, according to the Bible, makes a public statement of their faith. When we enter the waters of baptism, we’re proclaiming the gospel message. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and lives again. By joining in baptism, we’re identifying ourselves with Him. Romans 6:4 says we have been buried with Him through baptism into death. We’re now dead to the power of sin. Being raised up out of the water expresses our new life in Christ and our union with Him.
Communion
Communion is open to everyone who has a personal relationship with Jesus regardless of church background. Communion is a fellowship of believers by which they gather together to remember the sacrifice of the LORD Jesus Christ. On the night that Christ was betrayed, He instituted this "remembrance." "And He took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you" (Luke 22:19-20)
Giving
Finances are met by God through the regular giving of our church members and the committed congregation. An offering is taken as part of our worship during the Sunday Morning service. Visitors are NOT EXPECTED to contribute.
